Two Wins For Tworonto

Last Friday night , the Toronto Raptors declawed the Hawks from Atlanta, 103-91 . I was expecting a tight game because the Hawks always give the Raps a hard time especially with forward Josh Smith back in the line up . Instead , TO had it easy except for a brief time when the opponents cut down the lead to 6 points . However , the Raps insured that there will be no last minute rally or clock controvercy this time with a big lead at the end of the game .' They are a different team . They are starting to figure things now ' said Mike Woodson , the coach of Atlanta . Yes Mike . Even your compariot Sam is different now . The coach once voted as the NBA's worst coach is now confidence personified. And if the Raptors continue their winning ways , Sam will be out of the woods soon , Woodson !
This noon , the Raptors outhustled the Clippers , 112-110 . It was probably the most complete game by the NBA dribblers from Canada The Raps shot 70% from the field in the 1st half eventually finishing the game with 58% FG. Six players scored in double figures led by Chris Bosh with 27 points . But the game belonged to Jorge Garbajosa ( 17 pts.,5 reb.). His brilliance was all game long eliciting praise from Clipper Elton Brand .' Garbajosa was able to make the shots when needed ' . said Brand . Garbo killed the Clippers with a couple of 3 pointers in the 4th quarter enroute to a total of four 3 pointers. What can one say about the hairy Garb-o ? I guess , Garbo refused to let the Clippers near the Raps in the same manner that he won't let a clipper near his hairs !
